This one-day seminar will offer participants interested in making a career as an artist the opportunity to learn from key decision-makers on the business of being an artist. Members of the photographic arts industry will benefit by gaining insights into market segments that can increase the impact of their activities in these fields. Photographers and professionals from key areas of the photography world will talk about how to take advantage of different venues to support your art work. This one-day seminar offers artists an inside look at the options available in photo book publishing today and how to take advantage of these tools. Industry professionals will give presentations on many aspects of today’s publishing industry, printing on demand, handmade artist books, and case studies of successful book making ventures. Artists and editors will share their experiences with limited edition books as well as more traditional publishing opportunities. Handouts include Marketing Resources, Publisher Resources, and Publishing Contracts.
