The Moving Wall is a half size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall in Washington DC. It was built by veterans moved by the experience of visiting the memorial in DC. It has traveled the US for more than 20 years bringing that same experience to people that don't have a chance to go to the nation's capitol.
The Moving Wall is in Houston this weekend and will be on display through Monday at Veteran's Memorial Park located at 1800 Tidwell Ln.
While you are at the Houston Museum of Natural Science viewing the exhibit Fragile Nature, stop by their other photography exhibit which opened this weekend, Morena Moderna: Virgin de Guadalupe. Artist Diana Molina has been studying and documenting the role of the Virgin in Latin American culture. The exhibit is a collection of her photographs presenting the image in all aspects from sculpture, food, culture, all the way to tattoos and fireworks.

It's a Saturday, how about a game. A camera game. You are Jimmy Olsen. See if you can capture Superman with your lens. Beware, he's really fast!

A new photography exhibit at the Houston Museum of Natural Science focuses on the work of National Geographic Photography, Joel Sartore.
This exhibition takes viewers on a journey into the natural world across much of North and South America to witness majestic animals from jaguars and macaws, to gray wolves and grizzly bears. The exhibit details why species become endangered, their chances of recovery, and most importantly, what we can do to help.
The exhibit runs through February 10th, 2008.
October is festival season here in Houston. Every Tuesday in October Houston Photobloggers will have a Festival Roundup to help you plan your upcoming weekend. Get out with your camera, enjoy the food, the fun, and the festivities.
